Colin M. Wellenkamp is a highly experienced leader in sustainable development and environmental policy, with a career spanning over two decades. As the Executive Director of the Mississippi River Cities & Towns Initiative (MRCTI), he built the organization from the ground up, leading a coalition of 102 mayors across ten states to restore the economy and ecology of the Mississippi Corridor. Colin has worked extensively with lawmakers, Fortune 500 companies, and international investors to develop climate resilience strategies and infrastructure investments. In addition to his advocacy work, he has taught sustainability and economics as an adjunct instructor at Washington University and Saint Louis University, helping to shape the next generation of leaders in sustainability. With a legal background that includes a Master of Laws in Sustainable Development Law from The George Washington Law School, Colin is dedicated to creating policies that promote environmental stewardship and economic growth.

Colin has worked in academia and has seen first-hand the value of a world-class education. As a father, Colin will work to make sure St. Charles schools have the resources needed to maintain their standard of excellence.
Colin will work to craft legislation that curbs inflation and promotes economic growth for all Missourians. He also knows that our infrastructure must be improved. From water to transportation, St. Charles needs resilient and sustainable infrastructure to secure our economy for the future.
